Whether you travel for business or pleasure travel insurance is a must -- especially when you don't want to lose out on the cost of the trip in the event that the tour provider, hotel, or cruise line goes out of business. Also, if you're too ill to travel before the trip or get sick during the trip you need alternatives. Imagine paying $5,000-$10,000 for your "dream cruise" only to find out when you arrive at the ship you're not allowed to board -- that happened to some unexpecting travelers just recently.

Also, think about how much "insurance experience" your travel agent has. Is this someone you want to buy travel insurance from? That's like using a health insurance agent to perform your surgery -- just doesn't make sense.

Sometimes this coverage is purchased along side a quality travel medical insurance product even though these products do have some health beneffits. You can quote and/or buy each plan here and now. The Travel Plus, Travel Lite, Protect Assist and Cruise, Tour, & Travel are the best travel insurance plans available in the industry. However, if you just want coverage and price is the issue. The Global Alert insurance plan can be very inexpensive.
